Elouise Stewart is a Cochrane athlete who has competed in Special Olympics for the past 17 years. Being active is a coping mechanism and physical and emotional outlet for her autistic spectrum disorder. She has competed in 5-pin bowling, soccer, athletics and cross-country skiing. Elouise has won medals at local, provincial, national and world levels. She is currently preparing to race in the World Games in Austria this winter.
The Footstock Athlete of the Year Grant provides up to $500 to assist an athlete in their development. This year, our grant helped pay for new racing ski boots for Elouise.
